Introduction: Student Body President Caitlin Belisle

Dear Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University Students, Faculty, and Staff:

My name is Caitlin Belisle, and I am honored to serve as your Student Body President. As a freshman at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University, I am grateful for the opportunity to step into this role and serve the students and community that have welcomed me.

My vision as Student Body President is simple: I want to help create an environment where everyone has a genuine opportunity to succeed.

We all come from different backgrounds, and each of us carries our own experiences, responsibilities, challenges, and hardships. Sometimes the barriers we face are not found in the classroom-they are the everyday struggles that can make it difficult to focus on school, reach our goals, or simply keep moving forward.

I believe that no student should face those challenges alone.

Throughout my time as Student Body President, I want to listen to students, understand their needs, and work toward creating a campus where people feel supported, respected, and valued. I want us to build a community where students can speak openly, find support when they need it, and know that their voices matter.

As a freshman, I am still learning and growing alongside all of you. I don't have every answer, but I am willing to listen, learn, and work. I believe leadership is not about having all the answers, it is about being willing to stand with others and work together toward something better.

My hope is that we can create a stronger sense of community at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University, one where our differences make us stronger and where our challenges do not define our ability to succeed.

I look forward to serving you, learning from you, and working alongside you. Together, we can help make sure that every student has a chance to succeed, regardless of the barriers they may face.
