Fellowship Opportunities
A fellowship is a prestigious, short-term opportunity designed to support an individual's academic, professional, or personal development. Unlike a standard job or internship, it usually provides financial funding (such as a stipend or grant) so the recipient can focus on intensive research, specialized training, or a specific community project.
To qualify for fellowships, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be currently enrolled as a new or returning student at LCOOU
Be registered as a full-time student in an associate or bachelor’s degree program
Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher

To quality for this fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be declared in one of the following FANH degree programs
Nursing
Biology
Human Services
Maintain full-time enrollment in one of the approved programs
Requirements as a fellow:
All fellows must participate in both cultural engagement and professional development areas including:
Actively participate in AISES (American Indian Science and Engineering Society)
Participate in a minimum of one (1) Native American Studies workshop, cultural, or seasonal activity
Complete one workshop or approved professional development opportunity related to your field of study
Fall semester fellows must attend the Seven Generations Summit in October
Attend a minimum of 2 academic advisor meetings per semester
Present a project or results of your research at the end of the year Student Showcase
Maintain good academic standing and continuous enrollment from fall to spring semesters
Attend the annual Student Awards banquet in May
