Truck Driving

CVTC’s Truck Driving program is here to help you start your driving career efficiently, with safety and skill as our top priorities. In 12 weeks or less, you can earn your technical diploma and start driving toward a rewarding career.
Our program offers hands-on practice that mirrors the day-to-day demands of the trucking industry. You’ll train on everything from vehicle control systems and pre-trip inspections to backing maneuvers, coupling and uncoupling Class A commercial vehicles, safe driving in hazardous conditions, compliance, and professional best practices. Every skill you build focuses on preparing you for the road and your future employer.
Graduates will obtain:
Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes
Hazardous materials, doubles/triples, and tanker endorsements if written tests are passed at DMV
Manual Truck Training
Manual trucks demand skill, focus, and precision, and LCOOU can help you master them. In addition to earning your truck driving diploma, you can take optional courses specifically designed for manual rigs. These classes give you hands-on experience with shifting, engine braking, and real-world driving scenarios. You’ll develop the confidence and expertise employers look for, so you’re ready to operate manual trucks safely and efficiently from day one, giving you a strong advantage in your trucking career.
