Hello, my name is BeshigoGaBow (The Standing One or [lit.] One Standing) in Ojibwemowin and I am called Roger Mustache, Jr. in English. I am Bear Clan. I am from the Lac Courte Oreilles (LCO) Ojibwe Reservation. I only speak a little bit of Ojibwe.

I am an enrolled tribal member of LCO having been born and raised here. I attended the LCO K-12 Schools and am an alum of LCOOU, having graduated with my Associate of Arts-General Studies in 2016. I then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts-Archaeology in 2021. In the last decade of my life, I have had the opportunity to work in various fields such as the food industry and most importantly with tribal and non-tribal youth from the local community. I have a passion for knowledge and to help others however I can! Feel free to stop in and say boozhoo!

Mii sa iw, miigwech bizindawiyeg! That is all, thanks for listening!

  • Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University (LCOOU) is a wonderful place to be! The faculty and staff are dedicated to the success of the students who walk through our doors. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience brought by the faculty and staff and nothing would be complete without the students either who have their own knowledge and experience to impart on the University's faculty and staff!

  • My interests are varied but a few are a lover of country music, reading, looking into mythology and folklore of various cultures of the world with an emphasis on Ancient Greek mythology, and the learning, preservation, and advancement of Ojibwemowin and Ojibwe culture.
