  • I am an enrolled member of Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Chippewa and part Yankton Sioux. My Grandparents were Elmer Corbine enrolled Yankton whose parents were Moses Corbine of Lac Courte Oreilles and Carrie Drapeau of Yankton Sioux and Norma Corbine of Lac Courte Oreilles whose parents were Joseph Larson of Lac Courte Oreilles and Catherine Rabideaux of Red Cliff.

    I have worked for the last twenty years in healthcare working as a CNA then CMA, I worked for Valley Healthcare, Waters Edge Care Center and Lac Courte Oreilles Community Health Center. I have worked at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University since 2017 as adjunct faculty teaching various Native American History classes, Beading I & II, Traditional Native Techniques, and various workshops through Extension.

    I have earned my MA in American History through American Public University, my BA in American Indian Studies through University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, my AA in Pre-Nursing through Lac Courte Oreilles Community College. I am currently working on my Ed D in First Nations Studies through University of Wisconsin Green Bay.

    I am a Native American Artist for over thirty years. I have taught workshops at the Smithsonian’s NMAI in New York twice and various workshops at numerous museums and colleges across the United States. I have shown my art at the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Indian Market, the Indian Arts and Crafts Association, Indian Summer and will show at the Eitlejorg Indian Market. I have been a featured artist at Madeline Island, AICHO Galleries, and The Arboretum.

    Teaches- Native American History classes, Beading I & II, Native American Techniques.

  • Lac Courte Oreilles is my home, I am an alumnus of Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe University. It has always been my hope to become a part of the team fulltime here at the University.

  • I love to create art and share my passion with others. I also love to garden.

  • I find my extra time volunteering in the youth baseball food stand, helping to raise funds for the kids. I also spend some time creating regalia for those kids in need.
