Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College 2021 Commencement Ceremony

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College will be celebrating 59 degree and certificate candidates as they cross the stage in front of family during the 2021 commencement ceremony being held at the Honor the Earth Powwow grounds on May 22nd. The class of 2021 is the first class to include bachelor’s degree graduates.

This year’s celebration of graduates will include Keynote speaker Sarah Agaton Howes, an Anishinaabe artist, designer, teacher, and community organizer from the Fond du Lac Reservation in Minnesota. The student body will be represented by two high honors students; Lydia DeNasha, representing the bachelor’s in business graduates, and Tina Garner, representing the bachelor’s in human services graduates.

This event is an invite only event to ensure the safety our graduates and community as we continue to fight against the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. COVID-19 protocols will be in place during this event.
