The Wisconsin Native Loan Fund Inc. (WINLF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) certified statewide Native American Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) located in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin. WINLF was created in 2007 as Wigamig Owners Loan Fund to service the Lac du Flambeau Tribe in northern Wisconsin. In 2016 we expanded our target market to all 11 Wisconsin Tribes and changed the company name to reflect this. The governing Board of Directors is representative of each WI Tribe.
The mission of WINLF is to increase the financial self-sufficiency of Wisconsin Native American communities. WINLF provides financial education programming and technical assistance paired with affordable loans for housing, small businesses, and consumer needs. WINLF is building borrowers, homeowners, retaining money in tribal communities, and providing tribal members with the tools to become self-reliant and economically independent.
The WINLF website (https://www.winlf.org/) provides a list of resources offering helpful financial information.
