December Alumni Spotlight

We would like to take some time today to shine the alumni spotlight on Melinda Young.

Melinda graduated from LCO Main in 2013. Melinda was going to school while she was a first time mom, and taking nursing classes. This didn't stop her from graduating with honors.

After graduating with an Associates in Medical Assistant and Pre Nursing, she transferred the following Fall semester to The College of St. Scholastica and was later accepted into their nursing program. Melinda did all of this while being a mother to two small children.

In 2017 she graduated with a Bachelors in Nursing from CSS with honors. She is now working at the Hayward Hospital ER as a nurse. We are proud of Melinda for all of her accomplishments!
