Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College Emergency COVID-19 Protection Plan The President has directed the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College’s COVID-19 Emergency response and operations as follows. This plan is aligned with state and tribal governments timeline to support students, faculty, staff with children in K-12. Beginning March 17th and continuing through April 6th at which time we will reassess our plans and readjust as necessary. Students will learn from home/remotely. Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff: Due to the heightened world-wide awareness and still-uncertain methods of transmission of the COVID-19 version of coronavirus we are implementing best practice measures to prevent illness at the College while maintaining operations. Pete Elected to SAIGE Board of Directors

The Society of American Indian Government Employees (SAIGE) was formed in 2002 and is the first national non-profit organization representing American Indian and Alaska Native Federal, Tribal, Stat, and local government employees. SAIGE sponsors an annual National Training Program focused on professional development, leadership and topics that are integral to the highly complex relationship known as the Federal Indian Trust Responsibility. Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College Red Cliff Outreach Director, James Pete, DBA, was recently elected to a one year Board position. Pete has been associated with SAIGE for the past 5 years, with 4 of those being a presenter at the National Training Program

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College Student Scholarship Recipients

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College awarded 50 students $16,500 in scholarships this spring. Forty six students received the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College Student Scholarship Fund scholarship, this scholarship fund was established December of 2018, funds are raised through an annual appeal and a scholarship golf outing.
