WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

LCOOCC has partnered with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDot) to work on transportation projects that are concurrently beneficial to WisDot and to the students at LCOOCC who work on them.

Past Projects involving WisDot:

• Automated Digger's Hotline data for District 8

• Traffic Signal Interface Project for District 7

• Parking restriction declaration database for District 7

• Allows students to gain real-world experience and references.

• Develops relationship between transportation professionals and transportation students.

• Offers potential to create a self-sufficient GIS operation for work-based learning at LCOOCC.

• Due to limited staff and administrative push to outsource - have many project needs.

• Support development of diverse transportation workforce.

• History of successful projects with LCOOCC.
