Fish

The following is a listing of the fish found in the Chippewa Flowage (* means that it is rare). 

Walleye, Muskellunge, Northern Pike (recent invader), Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Channel Catfish*(riverine sections), Lake Sturgeon*(riverine sections), Brook Trout* (exclusively tributaries), White Sucker, Shorthead Red-horse, Golden Red-horse (riverine system), River Red-horse* (occasional specimen), Greater Red-horse* (riverine system), Silver Red-horse (riverine system), Carp, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Rockbass, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch, Log Perch, Johnny Darter, Burbot (riverine section), Black Bullhead, Yellow Bullhead*, Brown Bullhead, Tadpole Madtom, Trout Perch, Common Shiner, Golden Shiner (probably introduced from bait bucket), Emerald Shiner (river sections), Bluntnose Minnow, Creek Chub* (small tributary streams), Northern Red-belly Dace* (small tributary streams).  (Chippewa Flowage Joint Agency Management Plan, August 2000)
