Paul Grahovac 

Paul (MA, MSW, LICSW) is currently the Director of Student Support Services at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College . He holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee , a Master of Arts Degree from Wartburg (Lutheran) Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Paul is a certified Career Development Facilitator and a certified Job and Career Development/Transition Coach. Paul is also a Wisconsin licensed Clinical Social Worker. His current clinical practice primarily consists of facilitating CAMP (Compassion Advocacy Men’s Program) both on and off of the reservation for adult male perpetrators of domestic violence.  Paul’s passion is to help men transcend male gender role conflict and embrace compassion so that they might live meaningful lives in service of others as peacemakers. Paul is currently pursing a Ph.D. in Human Services with a specialization in Clinical Social Work. 

   

Odia Wood

Odia Wood received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001.  After teaching Cree and Adult Basic Education, she left Saskatoon to pursue new opportunities.  Having gained experience in Florida and North Carolina , Odia was chosen to be a Graduate Student Naturalist at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland , MN.  During that year, she attained a post-graduate certificate in Environmental Education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.  She joins the TRIO program having most recently worked as a primary teacher at an environmentally-focused independent school on Haida Gwaii, British Columbia .

In her spare time Odia enjoys reading, crafting, skiing, cycling, and exploring the natural world.  She lives in Hayward with her partner Tim.

 

   

Edith Diller originally called Montana home.  She received her BA in Mathematics Education from Goshen College in Indiana in 1970.  Her first three years of teaching were in Ganado High School among the Navajo people in Arizona.  After a year in the Netherlands at a boarding school, she returned to teach in Columbus, ND.  Next, she spent a year with Ojibwa and Cree students in northern Ontario, Canada.  There she met and married her husband, Ken.  After seventeen years away from teaching other than raising their children Juanita, Joel and Jason, she received her MA Degree in Mathematics Education in 2001 from Minot State College in North Dakota. 

Edie has been working with the TRIO Student Support Services at LCOOCC as math/science tutor since 1998.  She enjoys reading, painting, online word competitions and having her children and grandchildren visit.

   

Melissa Crow is the Administrative Assistant for the Student Support Services/TRIO Program at LCOOCC.

Melissa is an enrolled member from Lac Courte Oreilles.  She was born in Hayward, Wisconsin and grew up on the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation in the community of Round Lake.  She has a beautiful daughter named Acacia.  Her hobbies are golfing, bowling and volleyball.

She started working at LCOOCC in November of 1993.  She graduated from LCOOCC with an Associate of Arts Degree in 2001 and is currently working on her Bachelor's Degree through the University of Wisconsin - Superior.
