is a refresher course, which is designed to prepare students for Composition I.
Students will strengthen their abilities in correct usage, mechanics, and
punctuation as they learn to develop essays.
This is a preparatory course and does not count as degree credit.

General Mathematics

This
course offers a review of the fundamental operations of basic mathematics
including multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentage, ratio, and
an introduction to the fundamentals of algebra.

Job Seeking Skills

A
course designed to give students insight into their own goals and abilities.
Areas stressed are interviewing, job sources, and human relations in
organizations. Students will also
write letters of application and resumes. (Spring)

Adult Basic Education

Students
will prepare for completion of GED or HSED requirements and will work on study
and test-taking skills. Concentration will be on the following academic areas:
social studies, science, math, language arts writing, language arts reading,
health and civics. (Fall, Spring)
