PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The LCOOCC Liberal Arts program is designed to provide a broad base of knowledge and competencies that will transfer to four-year college and university programs leading to a bachelor’s degree. The LCOOCC Liberal Arts program also provides knowledge of diversity of human experience leading to the personal development of the individual as it strengthens understanding and skills pertinent to full participation in one’s culture and society.

DEGREE PURPOSES
Liberal Arts seek to introduce perspectives, contributions, limitations, and interrelationships that diverse disciplines bring to the world of ideas and knowledge. Students should develop a positive attitude toward lifelong learning, appreciating various modes of inquiry, respecting the complexity of the natural and social world and their interdependence, and a sense of aesthetics.
