With word-processing, it is a simple matter to update your syllabi. As you review and update your syllabi for each course you teach, you will need to make sure you have included the following:
· Course specific learning objectives
· How you are going to assess course specific objectives
· General education objectives (if applicable) by number and verbatim statement
· How you are going to assess general education objectives
· Program objectives (skills and knowledge that your course provides that are also your program’s outcomes. That is, if your course is required for a program, what is it in this course that is essential for your students to possess when they graduate? What should they know and what should they know how to do?
· How you are going to assess program objectives/outcomes.
