Patterns of Attendance: Term by Term Enrollment by Declared Program, Individual Student Data with Mock IDs, August 20, 2002. Each program has its own section separated by blue dividers. Individual students are identified with Mock ID numbers in order to comply with FERPA. For each program, the individual disguised students are listed. GradDate is the date of graduation, Degree is the degree or certificate, Deg Prog is the program in which the degree was awarded, ID1 is the mock ID number, # Terms is the number of terms that student attended. The rest of the table shows the program declarations for each semester the student attended LCOOCC. Students beginning their attendance earlier are first, and those beginning their attendance later appear later in the list. By examining these reports for each program, patterns of enrollment, migration among programs, and completion rates can be determined qualitatively. This data provided the summary results in the above series of reports on student retention.

Course Study, September 13, 2002. The binder containing the course study is divided into three sections.
Section One: Course Outcome Study, Overall Student Success. All courses in Univers have been sorted by the LEAST percentage of W and F grades. Towards the end of this section are the courses in which the percentage of W and F grades are the highest. The purpose of this report is to show which courses demonstrate student success in a ranked order. Also presented is the distribution of letter grades in those courses. Percentages may not add up to 100% because of other final grades not shown.
Section Two: Course Withdrawal Study. This section contains data that has been selected as follows: courses having 50% or greater W grades. There are reports based on several different sort orders of the following: Course, number of students, number of students receiving a grade of F, percentage of students receiving a grade of F, number of students receiving a grade of W for withdrawal, percentage of students who received a W final grade. and the percentage of students receiving F and W final grades (did not complete the course successfully). The purpose of this study is to provide information about courses from which students withdraw. Several factors may explain this: lack of preparation, scheduling, early lack of success, attendance problems, expectations not met, and other issues. Withdrawal rates in no way should be interpreted as an indicator of instructor quality.
Section Three: Course Failure Study. This section contains data that has been selected as follows: courses having 50% or greater F grades. Student failure rates in no way should be interpreted as an indicator of instructor quality.
