1998 Assessment Handbook

Part II

Evaluation

As established in the Assessment Design, and evaluation of the design and process will be conducted annually.  The process will be as follows:  Data will be analyzed by the Academic Dean and compiled in a report form.  The President, the Academic Dean and faculty committee will meet to evaluate the plan and process.  The criteria will be the academic outcome measures.  The evaluation process will impact revision of the assessment design to better improve student learning and faculty teaching.  The results of the annual evaluation will be disseminated to the community through the LCO Ojibwa Community College Annual Report.

However, it has been realized that assessment is a dynamic process and therefore the process will continually be improved.  It will also change as new ideas and methods will emerge.

The present assessment design has multiple measures, allows for feedback to students and community, student satisfaction is surveyed; faculty have been prominently involved in the decision making of the design, measures are appropriate to the capacity and the culture of the college, and the assessment plan will be evaluated annually.
