1998 Assessment Handbook

Part II

Implementation of the plan was not begun for all segments at once.  Assessment is an evolving process whereby the activities are tested, revised and tested again.  By including pre/post testing per course and measuring external achievements of students such as transfer and employment, the design was complete.  Data collection points were established and are represented in the following chart.

DATA COLLECTION POINTS

        INTERNAL                                                                      EXTERNAL

All data is entered into an individual portfolio for each student.

The feedback to students will be on-going through advisor meetings.  The final report of summary data will be available to students in the college library.  Since student feedback and sharing results of assessment is so crucial to the plan, the advising plan has been revised. Assessment of students will need to be strengthened.
