Strategic Visions of LCOOCC

 Keeping at its foundation the College's Mission, Philosophy and Purposes, the LCOOCC Board of Regents, the community constituents, the area's business employers, the local K-12 school systems, the alumni, students, administration, faculty, and staff contributed to the development of the following Strategic Visions to lead LCOOCC in to the 21st century.

 1.      Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College (LCOOCC) will continue to provide excellence in educational quality to serve the needs of a diverse constituency throughout its service area. 

2.      LCOOCC will develop, implement, and maintain programs that address multicultural education and increase the diversity of students, faculty, staff, and administrative personnel. 

3.      LCOOCC will be technologically contemporary; the students will be technologically skilled and prepared to learn new technology; the faculty and staff will continue to acquire technical skills to serve educational goals and to efficiently manage the resources of the College. 

4.      The College will provide quality, lower-division, transfer education leading to successful completion of Associate Degrees. 

5.      The College will provide quality education leading to the successful completion of Certificates. 

6.      LCOOCC will promote effective teaching and learning as the key elements of our mission. 

7.      The College will provide quality learning resources and student support services, including GED/HSED programming, remedial education, advising, career counseling, tutoring, library support, transfer assistance, needed to promote student success. 

8.      LCOOCC will promote public and school relations with activities that create understanding between the College and its students, prospective students, alumni, employees, and business and community organizations. 

9.      The College will provide quality applied technology education that meets the training needs for members of the community and business and industry that desire job preparation and short-term or upgrade training. 

10. LCOOCC will provide quality community services that meet cultural, recreational, and personal development needs of the LCOOCC reservation and the surrounding communities. 

11. The College will provide quality extra-curricular activities that will enhance individual growth and encourage empowering life habits. 

12. The College will promote formal partnerships with the K-12 schools in its service communities, creating an effective K-14 system of education.  

13. LCOOCC will support economic growth and development, including business industry, and government training and employee needs in its operations. 

14. LCOOCC will maintain and care for campus equipment, facilities, and grounds at the highest possible levels. 

15. The College will provide solid leadership - both for LCOOCC employees and its students. 

16. The College will maintain an energetic, forward thinking, involved, and informed faculty, staff, and administration through a professional development program of continuous improvement. 

17. The Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College will be involved in an ongoing strategic planning process dedicated to continuous improvement in its institutional effectiveness design.
