Institutional Organization

The accompanying flow chart shows clear lines of communication from the 4 Deans: Academic Affairs, Student Services, Facilities Management, and Fiscal Affairs to the Presidential posts.  Positions and programs under the Deans communicate directly to that individual. The President also has an open door policy where any employee of the College can go directly to him with any important issues regarding the institution. He also has the support of the Vice President who has the role of continuous communication with the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Governing Board. The Assistant to the President (also the Financial Aid Director) acts as advisor in areas such as the U.S. Department of Education and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Director of Research, Assessment, and Program Development oversees grant programs, assessment criteria, NCA requirements, AIHEC issues, and identifies opportunities that will help sustain and develop the institution's Mission, Philosophy, and Purposes. These positions aid the President in not only keeping abreast of the College's internal operations, but they also allow for insight into external factors affecting long-range activities.

The Dean of Facilities Development & Management, currently keeps the President apprised of Wisconsin's legislative activities (he is the Seventh Congressional District Chairman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin), and the LCO-Extension office keeps the College in contact with varying activities within the UW-Extension agency. Through these networks, and the internal organizational structure of the College, LCOOCC is able to plan for strategies for Continuous Improvement.
