The LCOOCC St. Croix Outreach Site is located in the St. Croix Youth Center located just off Highway 70 between Spooner and Siren Wisconsin. The Outreach site is centrally located to serve the St. Croix Communities.  Many of our students travel from the Cumberland, Turtle Lake, Spooner, Shell Lake, Siren, Webster, and Balsam Lake areas.

Many of our students start their education journeys by attending class at the Outreach Site.  We offer small class sizes and individual help.  We are a close knit family of students and we provide the social and academic network to work towards your goal of reaching an associate’s degree in Business Administration, Casino Operations, Early Childhood, Human Services, Liberal Arts, and Native American Studies with Language, Nursing or Natural Resources.  We also will assist you in transferring to a higher education institute to continue onto a bachelor’s degree. Many of our UW or Wisconsin colleges work with us in articulation agreements and have bachelor programs designed with our associates in mind.

Many of our classes meet through an app called ZOOM.  The instructor may be at main campus or another outreach site, and the students will be coming from all of our campuses.  We also use MOODLE as our partner with education.  There are other classes that are only online and still others that are met live.

The St. Croix Outreach Site is dedicated to providing Community based programs.  Nursing Assistant program (CNA), Native American Beading, Moccasin making classes and traditional Finger Weaving, and Language Round tables are some of the examples of how we reach into the community through education and culture.

The St. Croix Outreach Site strives to provide programs that meet the needs of the communities it serves. The site provides materials and training for community members to plant their own family and community gardens.    Working closely with the St. Croix Education Department, the St. Croix Outreach Site offers classes through ITV and Zoom to teach Ojibwe language and culture to area high schools through a Youth Options or Course Options Model.  The outreach Site also partners with the St. Croix Education Department to provide summer educational opportunities for St. Croix youth.   Check us out soon!  See you at St. Croix!
